Australian National XCE Series

Sebastian Jayne sprinted home for 3rd in the final round of the National XCE series, which secured his 3rd for the series overall.


Capital Punishment Marathon, Canberra, Australia

In a key season opener for the Australian marathon side of things, Naomi Hanson secured 2nd around the hot dusty trails in the Capital Punishment Marathon.


Thetford Winter Series (Suffolk, UK) Nov 2013 – March 2014

King of Thetford Paul Ashby is at it again, won all 4 rounds in the 4 hour Veterans category at the very popular winter series in the woods of Thetford forest.

Newly wed Ryan Henry also showed his class and popped up in Round 3 to give everything a sound thrashing in the 4 hour Seniors.

Ant White won the final round of the 2 hour race to claim the series, making it a MT ZOOM clean sweep in the male Vet categories with Paul in the 4 hour.

AMB (Australian Mountain Bike Marathon) 100 (Canberra, Australia)- Feb 2014

Naomi Hansen, rode strongly in the Australian Mountain Bike (AMM) 100 at super hot Stromlo Forest in Canberra, to get 2nd Elite female in the 100k.

Club La Santa 4 day stage race (Lanzarote, Spain) Jan 2014

Forsaking the final round of the Brass Monkey 4 hour series for somewhere warmer and dryer, Iwona Szmyd & Ant White headed across to the 4 day stage race ran by Club La Santa in Lanzarote.

Ant finished 3rd in the Masters 40 category.

Iwona mixed it with some strong internal riders and was 5th in the Elite women’s race

Gorrick Merida Brass Monkey Winter 4 hour Series (Surrey/Hampshire, UK). Nov 2013 – Jan 2014

The XCracer supported team & Iwona Syzmd slugged their way successfully through the winter trying to keep fit by doing the Gorrick Brass Monkey winter races. Louise Robinson’s consistent podiums meant she won the 4 hour race series in the women’s category.

Ant White won the first 3 rounds of the 4 hour in the Veteran Category.

Iwona won round 1 and was 2nd in rounds 2 & 3 in the 4 hour.

Strathpuffer 24 hour (the far north of Scotland, UK) Jan 2014

It was the same result as at the Relentless 24 for Jason Miles and Richard Rothwell, up in the far north of Scotland in January at the Strathpuffer 24 hour. “Enjoying” the 16 hours of darkness Jason won the solo category, mainly on his singlespeed.

Richard again was one half of the winning Male pairs team.

Relentless 24 hour (Fort William, Scotland) Oct 2013

Jason Miles won the solo class overall in Fort William at the same event and course that will host the WEMBO World 24 hour championships.

Richard Rothwell, was one half of the winning Male pairs team.

Roll on the World 24 hour Champs in October, fingers crossed the weather and midges behave.

Andrew Howlett made the long trip over from the UK to the Stromlo course in Australia and finished a very creditable 13th.

It won’t be hot and dry next year.

Langkawi International MTB Challenge (Malaysia) Oct 13

In an increasingly tough Master 40+ race, chasing a lucrative prize pot, Ant White clawed his way back from a cramptastic day 1 to get 4th after the 5 stages.

Marathon MTB Naomi Hansen got 12th in an even tougher women’s field, stacked with World Cup riders.

Bristol Oktoberfest (Bristol, UK) & Torq in your Sleep 12 hour (Hampshire,UK) Aug & Sept 2013

Following victory in the mixed pairs category at the Torq 12 hour race in August, Ant & Iwona went onto to win the category again at the twisty & bumpy Ashton Court Bristol Oktoberfest course in the 8 hour. They obtained a couple of large pretzels & plenty of beer for their efforts. Also liking beer & bread Jason Miles won the solo 8 hour Vets category and was also 2nd overall.

Forest of Dean Enduro (UK) Sept 2013

Anthony & Iwona also won the overall Male & Female categories in 4 lap Enduro at the excellent Forest of Dean trails.
